Canada’s First Photoluminescent Pavement Line Installer

Granite & Oak just became the first Canadian contractor to commercially offer embedded photoluminescent paving lines for private and commercial properties.
No lights. No wiring. Just pure photoluminescence.
We’re changing the game this spring.
GlowTrack™ by Granite & Oak Embedded, Glowing, Plow-Ready Line Markings Most line markings are just paint sitting on top of asphalt. They fade, chip, and disappear after a couple of winters—exactly when drivers and driver-assist cameras need them most. GlowTrack™ is our answer: a engineered inlaid strip, built into the pavement instead of on top of it. ⸻ Dual-Layer Design Photoluminescent Core (Structural Layer) At the heart of GlowTrack is a thick, solid plastic core, heavily loaded with photoluminescent material. It sits deep in a precision-cut groove in the asphalt, mechanically locked in place. • Charges from sunlight and headlights • Glows all night to define the path • Designed to remain in the pavement for the life of the surface This core is the permanent part of the system. It’s not paint. It’s not a decal. It’s a structural insert. ⸻ Optic Cap (Wear Layer) On top of the core, we install a thin, clear, high-friction cap containing retroreflective crystals. • Provides the bright, headlight-driven reflectivity drivers and cameras expect • Engineered to meet modern reflectivity standards for line markings • High-grip surface for traction, even when wet • Sits flush or slightly recessed so plow blades ride over it cleanly In normal use, this cap is built to last. And if it ever does need to be renewed, maintenance is simple: You’re only replacing the thin clear cap — the photoluminescent core remains embedded in the asphalt, still glowing, still doing its job. ⸻ Why GlowTrack™ • All-night visibility – Photoluminescent core defines the path even in complete darkness. • Reflectivity to standard – Optic cap delivers the retroreflective performance required for serious line marking, not just a “cool effect.” • Winter-ready – Inlaid design and controlled geometry make it compatible with snowplows and harsh Canadian conditions. • Long-term value – Instead of repainting lines over and over, the structural core stays in place. Over time, if anything needs attention, it’s just the thin wear layer. ⸻ Granite & Oak is developing GlowTrack™ for driveways, private roads, commercial lots, and future-ready properties that want better guidance for both human drivers and machine vision. Property managers, developers, municipalities: If you want to be early on this system, contact Granite & Oak and ask about GlowTrack™ inlaid photoluminescent line marking.

Granite & Oak Giving Back Building more than projects. We’ve been lucky enough to build a business with our hands. Now we’re using those same tools to help people in our community who really need it. Granite & Oak Giving Back is our way of donating our time, skills, and gear to fix essential repairs for people who are struggling; unsafe steps, broken entrances, sketchy walkways and other things that make day-to-day life harder or less safe. No big organization. No fluff. Just real work for real people in the Ottawa Valley and Petawawa area. 👉 Know someone who needs help? Email their story to contact@graniteandoak.ca and tell us: Who they are Where they live What needs to be fixed Why they’re having a hard time getting it done As projects get completed, we’ll share before/after photos and a simple breakdown of what we did so everyone can see where the help went. Granite & Oak Giving Back Because a good company should leave more behind than just finished jobs.
