GlowTrack™ by Granite & Oak Embedded, Glowing, Plow-Ready Line Markings Most line markings are just paint sitting on top of asphalt. They fade, chip, and disappear after a couple of winters—exactly when drivers and driver-assist cameras need them most. GlowTrack™ is our answer: a engineered inlaid strip, built into the pavement instead of on top of it. ⸻ Dual-Layer Design Photoluminescent Core (Structural Layer) At the heart of GlowTrack is a thick, solid plastic core, heavily loaded with photoluminescent material. It sits deep in a precision-cut groove in the asphalt, mechanically locked in place. • Charges from sunlight and headlights • Glows all night to define the path • Designed to remain in the pavement for the life of the surface This core is the permanent part of the system. It’s not paint. It’s not a decal. It’s a structural insert. ⸻ Optic Cap (Wear Layer) On top of the core, we install a thin, clear, high-friction cap containing retroreflective crystals. • Provides the bright, headlight-driven reflectivity drivers and cameras expect • Engineered to meet modern reflectivity standards for line markings • High-grip surface for traction, even when wet • Sits flush or slightly recessed so plow blades ride over it cleanly In normal use, this cap is built to last.
